SPOT LIGHT, Children’s Theatre Workshop, New Module

Introduction to New Module of SPOT LIGHT

Everybody remembers the first time they had to ‘stand up and do something’ in public: Mums, Dads, teachers, actors, pop stars, the Prime Minister – everybody. It could be reciting a poem you only learnt the night before in front of whole class, singing a song at a party or saying your ‘own line’ at the end-of-term play. For some, it’s a magic moment; others feel awkward or just plain scared.SpotLightFeb0182

Focus

SPOTLIGHT new module will  encourage candidates to develop individual creativity and personal engagement with a range of text as they develop their performance skills through a progressive structure of challenge and achievement. In order to ensure maximum inclusivity and true personalization to performance, repertoire choice is entirely the candidate’s own. A structured learning framework is followed which gradually develops skills up to an advanced level. The standards and expectations are high but the rewards in terms of satisfaction and personal development are considerable. The learners will be inspired to employ appropriate physical and vocal resources to engage the audience through performance. Also learn to respond to the quality, form and content of the material being presented. Adopt and sustain a role using space creatively and  effectively to convey complexity of meaning_MG_9739

Testimonials:

“Just wanted to thank you for putting such a wonderful show. The kids did so well that all of us have come back home as proud parents. From the ambience of the hall to the costumes, dialog delivery to the choosing of characters everything was really good. Thanks for bringing out the best in our kids.”

“As parents it was extremely satisfying for us to see our child appreciate and participate in a theatre camp of such high standards. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the scripts and the level of comprehension of the children.”

“We were taken aboard the bard’s ship as the Shakespeare’s Tempest was enacted with utmost proficiency and clarity of diction. Having had it as a part of the curriculum back in school, I can only say- hats off !! All the other performances too- skits, jigs, improv and genre twist were highly commendable and of class. The improv and the genre twist in particular were very innovative and left the audience in splits. I want to congratulate each and every child for the outstanding performance. Thank you Vineet and team for making this happen with your tireless efforts.”

I really liked the introduction of the one-on-one progress review assessment. I also appreciate the professionalism and the seriousness of your efforts. Thank you for the opportunity that helped Krisha realise what she enjoys doing….she mentioned once that she would like to be an actor when she grows…

this is Aditi’s mom …Thought I’d let u know that this morning she and her brother were talking about the world ending on 21st,,, and she goes…. it’s okay…as long as it happens after our Theatre session…. thank you so much for inspiring them with something so positive….
